Bodegas Comenge
From the land, its mark.
Bodegas Comenge has accepted a challenge: making genuine estate wines from the Ribera del Duero region.
We respectfully shape the lands on which our vineyards are planted, creating spaces that are good for the vines and beautiful to the eye. We work with a belief in innovation and excellence, taking into account sustainability and the environment. Our wines come from an organic vineyard and, above all, they are the result of the careful labour of people who work with passion and now form part of the Comenge Family.
Carmen by Comenge
ROSE
“Carmen” treasures all the beauty, wisdom, authenticity, resistance and friendly character of a mature vineyard, as if it were a great woman. It is our tribute to the generations of winegrowers who for years cared for the vineyards and respected their biodiversity. Thanks to them, today we can continue to enjoy its landscape and its exceptional grape. And it is also a deserved tribute to Carmen Fuentes, wife of Jaime Comenge, founder of the winery, companion of his life and of his dreams.
It is a wine, but also much more …
“Poem and caresses, elegant soul, garden of life, white and red grapes, music of oaks, holm oaks and old vines. Yes, you are immortal. Like your beauty. Like your character. I will wait for you, you will wait for me. Carmen, you are an eternal melody. A mosaic of nuances. You are the Ribera. The love of a mother. The taste of a hug. The passion of a woman
Comenge Albillo Mayor
BLANCO DE GUARDA
Grown in a small, beautiful, centenary vineyard planted in 1921, the grapes used to make this wine are of the Albillo Mayor variety, a hidden gem of Ribera del Duero. The limited production of this ancient variety turns this expressive white wine for ageing into a collector’s item.
Its aromatic complexity, silkiness and personality reveal all the charm of vines that have been cultivated with wisdom and love for five generations.
